Mr. Magee recently founded Nine Island Properties to assist those who have an interest in Charleston real estate. Prior to Nine Islands, he served as Vice President for the 2nd largest Golf REIT in the country, Golf trust of America, negotiating and closing more than a half billion in real estate transactions. During his 10 year tenure as V.P., Mr. Magee served in various senior management capacities overseeing acquisitions, work-outs, operations, financial analysis, and dispositions. Prior to Golf Trust, Mr. Magee worked on Wall Street as an Institutional Equities Trader for Dean Witter and was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Charleston Golf Group, LLC, specializing in hospitality related real estate acquisitions and management in the southeast.  His broad background in the securities markets as well as posessing a national and regional real estate perspective as a former executive in a publicly traded REIT make him uniquely qualified in advising clients in real estate transactions. Just as importantly, he has lived in the Charleston area for almost twenty years and invested in a number of primary and investment properties along the way.   Mr. Magee holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from Winthrop University and also served as an Assistant Basketball Coach for the College of Charleston and Boston College immediately upon graduating from Winthrop.  For the past 12 years, he has partnered with current NBA point guard Anthony Johnson, to host two weeks of basketball camp each summer for thousands of children in the Charleston area.
